APOSTLE'S MESSAGE

 Date: February 5, 2023

To all the Saints of God,

Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World.  As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.

Health authorities and governmental officials are now advising people to wear face mask in public gatherings, use social distancing, and get vaccinated for your own health and safety from the Covid-19 virus.  In some places wearing face mask is no longer mandatory in indoor public spaces.

·   February 3, 2023, community transmission of Covid-19 is now in the green zone in Atlanta, Georgia. This means that the spread of the virus is at a low level in Atlanta and you should continue to take precautions based on for your individual health condition. All must continue to be cautious because the area where you live may have a high spread.

·         Face masks continue to be recommended in public gatherings for individual safety based on your individual health condition and risk.

·         Gatherings indoors is allowed without face mask, but each individual should be aware of their health risk.

·         Vaccinations and boosters remain the recommended most effective way to control the spread of Covid-19 according to health authorities.

·         Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters are offered to everyone in the State of Georgia.

We are open for indoor in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing when needed. Each person attending in-person services should be fully aware of their own health risk as mask may be removed during singing and speaking, and some may attend without mask. We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.

In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:

                          info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.

As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.

Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:

   Love of a True Friend

by Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

We celebrated the life of Mother Mary Jones with her immediate family our brethren on Saturday February 4, 2023, and carried her body to the grave.  And though we celebrate the life of the Saints of God each time one of us falls asleep, this was a continuous rejoicing indication that the Saints of God can overcome any obstacle by the love we have for each other.  Mother Mary Jones came to visit and see our natural father Minister Willie Robert Smith her spiritual Brother after about 30 years of not visiting the homes of each before she fell asleep.  The news of her visit brought us great joy and stirred up many pleasant memories of her faithful labor in the Church.  Her poems and her special sweet potato pies always brought us so much joy.  Our families grew up together in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith as we moved to different locations in Atlanta.  We played together, we worshipped together, we saw the birth of many children together, we traveled the highways and roads to the Church Conventions in other cities and states together and then there came a separation that our love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and for all the Saints in the Church and for each other overcame and brought us together again.  And we thank the Lord Jesus Christ and all the families for allowing us to be together again on this occasion.  We have shown ourselves to be friendly and our willingness to stick together closer than most others because we are the Children of the Lord God Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

We are the seed of Abraham by Faith and the Friends of the Lord God Jesus Christ because we will always obey his commandments. And the Lord God Jesus Christ will strengthen us and help us overcome all obstacles in our way.

Galatian 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Isaiah 41:8 - 10 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.  Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Love has brought us together again and Love will keep us together because we are friends that will love each other at all times!!  We have the patient to let each individual grow at our own pace as the Spirit of God works within each of us to make us a new creature.  For we know that the Lord God Jesus Christ loves all of us.

John15:12 – 17 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.

We have proven once again that we will always love the Lord God Jesus Christ and Love one another.  In doing so we have achieved our victory over the devil with our love.

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will.

May he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins.

Then you must continue in prayer to the Lord God Jesus Christ asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on His Name which is the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances.  This experience with God will endow you with power.

Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Then you must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine, remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen

 With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
