APOSTLE'S MESSAGE

Date: November 7, 2021
To all the Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World.  As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.

Health authorities and governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  In some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.

We are continuing limited indoor, in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing.  We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.   In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on Zoom or emailing your request to:

info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.

As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.

Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:

I Shall Not Be Moved From the Word of God (part 2)

By Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Romans 8:35 - 39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?   As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,   Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Bible teaches us that nothing can separate us from the love of God because God’s love is not something that anybody earned.  We speak of God’s love as unconditional love commonly referred to as agape love because he loved us while we were sinners.  He hates our sin, but he loves each person in a special way in that he took on flesh and blood through the virgin Mary and became a natural man then died on the cross paying for the sins for all who believes, repent and obey his commandments.  This offering of love by God is for all people and no one can ever take it from any person born.  From God’s love everyone should easily recognize God’s grace or favor for all of the human family that he offered in some way in every dispensation.

John 3:14 - 17 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

The Bible teaches us to hate sinful ways!!  Most of us can readily realize that if we hate a thing, we are most inclined to reject the thing that we hate.  So, when we hate sinful ways, we will reject evil conduct and have the motives to turn from sin and turn to God in repentance with a sorrowful heart for the sins we have committed in our lives.  The great reward for hating sin is that it can lead to eternal salvation through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is God Almighty.  From the following scriptures we can see that in obtaining salvation we must learn to recognize the need to hate sinful ways..

Psalms 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Jeremiah 44:3 - 4 Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers. Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

Hebrews 1:8 - 9 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Revelations 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Amos 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Preaching the word of God means to proclaim to all people throughout the world the commandments of the Lord God Almighty who is Jesus Christ.  It also means to be completely committed to obedience to the word of God and not be offset by anything that you might face in your daily life.  Because if you are constantly moved by the circumstances around you, you will be like a piece of paper, dry leaves, or dry dust particles that are tossed about with each passing wind during the day.  The committed Saint of God will never follow the speech of ungodly evil people and are therefore never moved from the word of God because of the hatred that they have toward evil ways.  The first book of psalms in the Bible is repeated to emphasize the fate of ungodly evil people that they shall perish.

Psalms1:1 – 4   Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.  For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Committed Saints of God will not be moved from the word of God by anyone even if they were angels from heaven because they will measure anything that a person or angel tell them by the word of God.  This is why we can see the one and only plan of salvation and the one and only universal Church of the Lord Jesus Christ because we are continuously examining ourselves according to all that the Apostles have spoken.

Galatians 1:6 - 7 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. GAL1:08 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

And since there is only one thing for the whole world to obey, we know that everyone who have not lived by the one plan has no other way to receive salvation from their sins and will stand before God one day and give an account according to the knowledge that was available to them.

Ephesians 4:4 -6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Ephesians 4:14 - 16 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Teaching and obeying the truth is the way to be saved and there is no other way regardless of the promises that the false prophets, and false teachers present to the world.  The Bible is very clear that those who obey the one plan of salvation are the only ones to be added to the Church.  Everyone who has not obeyed the one plan is not a part of the One Universal Church of the Lord Jesus Christ no matter how many good works that they have done in the eyes of the world.  No matter how many times they have fed the hungry, gave money to Charity because good work does not make a person a part of the Church, we do good works because we are Holy.  Holy people strive to overcome all unrighteous behavior and good works are part of living a Holy life.

Acts 2:40 - 42 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

We continue with a Message from Apostle S. C. Johnson … “One Way to God, One Church” ………

One Way to God, One Church (part 2)
By Bishop S. C. Johnson

There is but one church and this is it. Now, I am going to outline it and show you by the bible this Church. I am going to get bible all the way down the line for This Church. Listen to what it says here:

"And many people shall go and say, 'Come ye. and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of God of Jacob; and he Will teach us of his ways, and we Will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."

Listen to this: "HE IS GOING TO TEACH US OF HIS WAYS." You have not “been taught” his ways. You have “been taught” there are three distinct persons in the Godhead. That is not his way. You have “been taught” that you do not have to “be baptized” in water at all. That is not his way. His way says, “ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL, WHO IS ABOVE ALL, AND THROUGH ALL, AND IN YOU ALL. Ephesians 4:5-6.”

That is what his ways teach. His way teaches, "Except a man is born again of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5

“Let us go up to the house of the God of Jacob and he Will teach us of his ways, and we Will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
Are you listening? That is the reason you must get into this church. You must get into this church.

Preachers, you that are preaching, you must contact me and explain to me what you are preaching and if I pass it, it will be all right. If I do not pass it, it will not be all right, and hell will be your portion. You can exalt and puff yourself up and say, who is he?

The word is talking. The word is going to talk tonight. If you do not abide by the word of God, hell will be your portion. Everyone that is out there must come over here and put their gospel up for inspection. Let me inspect it, that is, if they want to be right. If you ever will be right, this you must do. I am going to follow this up. I do not care who you are, if you just mention church and do not have anything up on your building but, "Church," you must come, and I'll inspect you and see what you are preaching. If I pass you, it will be all right. If I pass it, heaven will pass it. If I do not pass it heaven will not pass it. If I bind it heaven will bind it. It throws everyone in this thing.  I am going to prove this. Everyone must get into one highway, one lane that goes to the house of the God of Jacob. Thank God. You cannot get on another one either.

“Bishop calls for Luke 24:44-45, but says, I am coming back to this and make, a good job of it. I am going to show you, you are doing nothing.

And he said unto them, “These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must, be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures."  Luke 24:44-45,

That was Jesus talking. After he died on the cross, went down to hell and came back the third day, he went to his preachers and said, “These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures."

He opened their understanding so one would not run off with one interpretation of the scriptures and another one with another interpretation. When he got through with them, he had them all lined up and every one of them agreed on what he had shown them. He showed them all the same thing. HEAR ME! This is smashing everything now.

Luke 24:46-47. And said unto them, “Thus it is written and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

In whose name? In the name of Jesus Christ, that is his name. "That repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations. Here it comes again. I told you everyone has to come to this thing. Didn't he say so? Among whom? Among all nations!" Glory to God.  Now, no one else “is able to talk” like that but those who are like me.

In Boston, someone was telling me about an individual who didn't seem to agree with me. He thought the gospel was preached before he heard me and quoted me to say there was no one else but me. I did not say that, I said, if there are any more, they must be like me.  He said, "Well then there aren't any more because there are none like you." That is what he said.

HEAR ME! I AM READY TO CERTIFY MY GOSPEL. Amen.

You know that you cannot get a certified check unless you have the money because there, “has to” be something behind the check, otherwise it is not a certified check but just an ordinary check and it is liable to bounce anytime if you do not have sufficient money in your account. “Some” people give you a check and do not have a dime in the bank, but they hurry up and scrape up money from everywhere they can get it so that when the check comes due, it will keep it from returning with insufficient funds marked on it.

I have a certified gospel here tonight that will not bounce, Glory to God HEAR ME! I have a certified gospel that is warning all nations, telling them to come in.

The bible said, Come ye! Didn't it say so? Come ye! To whom is it talking when it said come ye?
To everyone, because it said, ALL NATIONS. This thing is coming to all nations. Come ye, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord's house. Come ye!

"COME YE AND LET US GO UP TO THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD, TO THE HOUSE OF THE GOD OF JACOB; AND HE WILL TEACH US OF HIS WAYS, AND WE WILL WALK IN HIS PATHS; FOR OUT OF ZION SHALL GO FORTH THE LAW, AND THE WORD OF THE LORD FROM JERUSALEM."

Now, God Almighty comes on, with Isaiah's statement because he was the one who touched Isaiah's mouth and put his word in his mouth, and then moved him by the Holy Ghost to speak it. It “was recorded” and before it will change, heaven and earth will have to take their flight, but the word of our God will stand forever. Let us get this good.

"And that repentance and remission of sins should “be preached” in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye ace witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:47-49.

Now, here is where the church first started. This church was set up by Jesus Christ himself. Get this good now, I did not set this church up, Jesus set it up.  The way he set it up, he himself was the first born in the church.   In other words, he was the first one baptized and the first one that received the Holy Ghost and was done, the church was set up, and the rules and regulations and instructions by which the church is governed, followed.  Everyone that says he is in the church and doesn't submit himself to these rules and regulations given by God to govern the church, (to let us know whether or not you are in the church,) is a liar and the truth is not in him because he failed to govern himself according to the rules and regulations and he is striving lawfully.
The bible says, "If a man also strives for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strives lawfully." 2nd Timothy 2:5.

The Apostle Paul said, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize?" Then he said, “So run, that ye may obtain." 1st Corinthians 9:24.

In Order to run so you can obtain the prize, you must run lawfully, and you must carry all these rules as you run. You must run with all of them, so when you get there, you can say, I ran according to all the rules. You can say, I went and saw Bishop Johnson and communicated unto him the gospel I preach, and he passed it because I ran according to the rules.

So, run! Somebody is running in vain. You must run by the rules. When you run here, you must say, "I ran with one God, with water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ; with speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave utterance: and feet washing." You must have all of that with you. You must run here paying tithes, not keeping the sabbath day. If you have all the rules, then you can get in.

THEY THAT RUN IN A RACE RUN ALL, BUT ONE RECEIVETH THE PRIZE."

Everybody is running tonight, but they are not running so they can obtain the prize. They are running all kind of ways, but they had better run according to all these rules.

I have a book, a By - Law book, which tells our standard and what we believe. I have it written in the book. Whatever you want to know, I can say, "Give me the book."

I had an interview with an F.B.I. agent a few days ago and he asked if we believed certain things. I said, "Get the book and turn to the doctrine and let him read it." "This is our stand."
It hasn't just started but this has our stand.

When you go to meet the Lord, you better run there with all the rules. You better not leave one behind. Not one! If you do, it will be too bad for you.

(Bishop asks for the scripture to be read again.)
"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

Don't you see everyone must come into this thing? Everyone! It does not make any difference who he is or what church he belongs to. I will tell you what to do; you make it to 22nd and Bainbridge Streets if you are in the vicinity, if not, you make it to my nearest church or my farthest church because this is good enough to go a “long way” to get. It is enough to go around the world one hundred times for it. You make it to one of Bishop Johnson's churches and get baptized if you have not “been baptized.” This gets everyone. It gets all the preachers, sinners, and everyone because it is telling all to repent.

As we go along, we are going to see that this thing, this church that was set-up by Jesus Christ, was made ready for members on the day of Pentecost. They couldn't get in without being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.  It gets everybody, doesn't it? It gets a sinner way out there in the jungles. It gets him down there by himself and pulls him in. God doesn't let anyone get by. Get this.

The Lord is certifying this thing...ALL NATIONS! I heard Isaiah saying, "ALL NATIONS SHALL FLOW UNTO IT." Then Jesus came on and said, "ALL NATIONS!" It “has to be “preached” among all nations. All nations! "THAT REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS SHOULD BE PREACHED IN HIS NAME AMONG ALL NATIONS BEGINNING AT JERUSALEM."

Where? At Jerusalem! Beginning at Jerusalem.
I am going to follow this thing up. I am not going to let you get away. I am going to trail this; this is good. I am going to trail this.

"YE ARE MY WITNESSES!" I have you for my witnesses of these things. You are the ones David talked about when he said, “There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world"...Psalms 19:3-4.

That was talking about you. You are the ones that God moved on David to talk about.
Jesus told his disciples, “Ye are Witnesses of these things. And behold. I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

He told them to wait there until they got in the church. They had the water baptism because he baptized them himself, but he couldn't give them the Holy Ghost then. neither could he give it to them when he gave them this instruction because he couldn't go contrary to the scriptures.

The scriptures say, “It is expedient for you I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." John 16:7

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49.

No one is going to get away from this. If you go to church anymore after you hear me, then you are just playing church and you are a hypocrite. You want to go to hell.

We will continue with these messages in part 3……….

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will, may he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, then continue in prayer, tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances.  Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen

With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Currently the following groups are eligible for COVID vaccine in Georgia:
Everyone age 12 and older.  Note: Pfizer is the only COVID vaccine currently approved for children aged 12 and older. People younger than 18 years of age are not authorized to receive either the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

 ONGOING GUIDANCE for Red Zone
• Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19
• Practice social distancing
• Frequently wash hands
• Frequent cleaning of public and high touch areas
• Practice telework and staggered office schedules where feasible, with safety measures
• Non-essential City facilities may open to the public. Masking will be mandated for now and the number of persons indoors may be limited to avoid crowding

Social Distancing guidelines:
• Social distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It includes actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and maintaining distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.
• Social distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible, limiting nonessential travel, working from home, and skipping social gatherings.
• All people should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously ill or at high risk.
• Social distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.

When to Wear a Mask:
Those who are staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical or homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain populations. Wear a Mask when:
• Shopping at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.
• While visiting your health care provider.
• Traveling on public transportation.
• Interacting with customers/clients at essential businesses.
• When feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing.
• In all public spaces indoors and outdoors.

Because homemade masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.
Everyone should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs, sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the virus.
