APOSTLE'S MESSAGE

Date: November 21, 2021
To all the Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World.  As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.

Health authorities and governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  In some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.

We are continuing limited indoor, in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing.  We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.   In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on Zoom or emailing your request to:

info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.

As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.

Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:

I Shall Not Be Moved From the Word of God (part 4)

By Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Not going to let nobody turn me around is the lyrics of one of the Songs that we sing.  No matter what Church organization you continuously associate with or what banner name that they may list themselves under in the nations around the world, they must teach the Apostle’s doctrine in fullness and truth to be a part of the One Universal Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Bible presents proof of this in Revelations 1 – 3 Chapters.  Some may call the Seven Churches of Asia as Church periods, but we will continue to call them by the name of their location as the Lord Jesus Christ called them and examined them according to their teachings, conduct, and obedience to his commands.

Revelations 1:8 – 20   I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.  I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.  And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:  I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.  Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Many people are looking for the rise of a future antichrist and as a result fail to see the disobedient false teachers and antichrist people who claim to be Christians who are in front of their faces.  They are individuals who do not teach or obey the Apostle’s Doctrine.  Many of these individuals are from those that departed from the true doctrine and began teaching false doctrine to gain wealth and recognition.  This is very obvious today with people searching for likes and dislikes to gain a large worldly following.  It should be noted that the Salvation of all mankind is not dependent on whether or not a person likes the doctrine that is being proclaimed.  It is not dependent on whether or not the preacher or teacher is liked by the people of the world.  It is not dependent on whether or not the Pastor, Elders, Deacons, or Church membership are great community leaders.  But it is based solely on what the Biblical Apostle said and did in obedience to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

1John 2:18 - 22 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.  But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?  He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

So, all can see that there are people who donot obey the Lord Jesus Christ and who also deny the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by teaching the opinions of sinful men.  They are antichrist visible in the face of all people everyday of the year.  It is amazing that anyone would follow another sinner who has no ability to save themselves or anyone else from the damnation of hell. The one and only way that anyone in the world can be saved is by obedience to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  From this statement of truth, the recognition of false teachers, false doctrine, and the designation of false churches should be easily determined for they are any church or speaker who has not obeyed or strays from all that the Apostles doctrine teaches.

There was a comment made by one false Church that they do not tell people about going to hell.  This is a clear statement that they do not teach the Apostle’ Doctrine because Apostle Peter clearly taught about angels that sinned being cast down to hell.

2Peter 2:1 - 5 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;   And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

We continue with a Message from Apostle S. C. Johnson … “One Way to God, One Church” ………

One Way to God, One Church (part 4)
By Bishop S. C. Johnson

God only spoke of one church and spoke of it through the apostles and that church started on the day of Pentecost where they baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and knew there is one God, not two, but one God; they baptized the correct way and have bible standard in the church.  If you are of God, you will hear God’s word.  If you are not of God, you will join a false church.

I have made my round and told others and of course they are well told.  Well, told! Amen.  You do not need to ask anyone else.  The bible says, ...it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.   Acts 22:10

Acts 22:10  And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

When I fix up and give it to them, I can look at them and tell when they swallow it. I say, "He got it, I saw him swallow it." Amen.  I can tell when they swallow it.

I had some people in Boston and could tell when they swallowed it.  I would bring it to them, open it up and offer it to them and I could see them break in smiles.  I know they got it.  Glory to God.

I am glad for something that will stand the bible test, something that cannot, just cannot be condemned.  You don't like it, but it just cannot be condemned, but stands the test. Amen.  The Lord always gives victory, in fact the whole land belongs to me.  The whole land!  I prayed once and I told the Lord I wasn't going to leave town anymore unless he gave me victory.  I can call heaven as my witness.

Paul certified what he said, he said, "Behold, before God, I lie not."

When I tell you of these things, I am not telling you something that God hasn't wrought by me, in order to make you obedient.  When I speak of a thing.  I am telling you the things God has wrought by me, thank God. I wanted to go and wanted to go so bad, I didn't know what to do, but I said, I am not going, but I am going to certify it that I am not going of myself.

Sometimes something gets on you and you think it is God, but said.  "I am not going out of town unless God gives me victory." I don't know how I would have lived if God hadn't fixed me up because something had me.  But the thing that had me, was the one that put it on and gave it to me.  I told the Lord, "I am not going to leave town unless you give me victory.” "Promise me, tell me, for you can talk, God." "You are God, tell me!" Heaven is my witness. Oh, I prayed, and prayed.

One night I had a vision that I was in a big field and a very large snake was in this field. He was stretched out in this field.  I had a few saints with me and when I walked up on him, he was alive, but had very little life in him. I began to punch him with a stick, then I said, "Why tease him, let us cut him up."  And I did.  I woke up the next morning and the dream came back to me, and I asked the Lord about it, saying. "What was that Lord?" The Lord said, "The field that you saw was the world, and the snake was the enemy.” "Wherever you go, I will give you victory."
I have a witness from heaven. Amen.  Then I left town and went to Oxford, North Carolina, for a week.  The first one I baptized was a little child.  During that week I went to Scotland Neck and preached there Friday night.  The brother of the man I baptized got so angry with his brother that he said, I am going to beat you up.  I left that Saturday morning and went back to Scotland Neck on Monday before I headed out for Philadelphia and preached there again.  This man that was going to beat up his brother for getting baptized, and let me baptize him and his wife.  I baptized twenty-two on that trip.  Wherever I go, the victory is mine.

No human born or going to be born will be able to stand before this.  Amen.  They don't like it, positively not!  There was a Moslem in Boston who couldn't wait for me to get there.  He said, "l am going to be there and get that $500,000.00." The one he was talking to said, 'Come on." He must have heard me, or something happened, and he wrote and said, "I won't just break in on you, I can't come unless I get a note inviting me to come." I said, "Write him a note quickly and send it to him." I signed it and sent it to him.

He got it and said he would meet me Wednesday night.  On Wednesday, he didn't come, but said he had to go somewhere.  I tried to get him on the phone, but he was out so finally he came in Thursday night, two other men were with him.  He sat and heard the message.  Just before I sat down, they went out of the meeting.  I asked the brother, where is the man?" He said "I don't know what happened, but he was one of the three that went out.  "It was too hot for them. He knew he couldn't stand the test and went out.

The bible says, "Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel:" Numbers 23:23.

There was a Catholic man in my meeting, and I worked on the baptism, he jumped up and said, "Jesus said, Go ye into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19.

I said, yes, that is written. but what is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?" "Your first pope (Peter) said. "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

I used his tactics and gave him credit for Peter being his first pope. That is what they say.  "Now, what your first pope said is recorded in the bible and what your last pope said is not recorded.  “Which one are you going to take?  "Which one are you going to obey?"  He sat down.  That was the dead end of the Catholic man.  Amen.
I would stop the pope right there at the same Stop sign.  I would stop him and stop all of them.  When I stop him, I stop everybody?  Let anyone grunt against this.  If you come to fight, I have plenty of ammunition, if you come to helped, I can exhort.

The Apostle Paul said to Titus, Holding fast the faithful word he hath been taught that ye may be able by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers." Titus 1:9

“I am able to” exhort you and I can stop the mouth of every gainsayer.  God will confirm and you cannot get away from it.  There was a woman in the meeting Sunday night who was baptized after service, after we had dismissed.  She couldn't get away.  She said, "tell Bishop I want to be baptized and I want him to baptize me."  She was baptized and came to my office wanting to see me.  She told me she didn't leave home to come to my church, but she asked God if he had a man anywhere to let her know it.  How she came there she didn't know or understand, but when she ended up, she was in the church and said, “This is it." God made her come she also said, "l thank God, and to know this is it I will labor forever for the truth."
She expected to go in business, and she said she will do everything in her power to help carry this thing on.  Thank God, he brought her into the truth.

It is like I said... You don't have to drink up a fifty-gallon barrel of lemonade before you know it; right.  Just a couple of swallows will make you say, give me a glass.  No one is going to get away from this and everyone must come to it.  Everyone!  A woman heard me preach in St. Louis, Missouri for two nights but didn't get baptized.  After I left, God showed me to her in a vision.  He didn't say anything to her but when he showed me to her, he also showed her Acts 2:38.  It set her afire and she wrote me, saying, "'You are needed here."  She belonged to the Church of God in Christ, but she turned on it and said, “You are needed here.”

(Speaking to the saints, Bishop said, You know you are in something that is for everyone!  Everyone!

"Didn't you hear the word say, to this end, that when I followed it up, it ended up right in Jerusalem. Jesus came on and said, All Nations!!   This is the reason everyone must come here and get the right hand of fellowship that has been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost, otherwise they are going to hell.  All sinners must come here and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, otherwise they are going to hell and all those that were here and went out must come back.

Someone wrote me from Columbia, South Carolina today, telling me it was burning up a false prophet there. To justify himself, he said he went out because there was so much jealousy and strife in the church, but the bible doesn't justify him.

The Bible says, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest.."  1John 2:19.

I don't care what kind of an excuse you offer, when you get through, the scriptures say: "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." 1John 2:19

No one is justified in going out of The Church. I don't care if cut-throats are in the church or if a preacher does wrong, the Church is still here, and there are also the rules and regulations to deal with everyone.  Isn't that, right? Jesus Christ set up the church himself.  HE set the Church up.

When I heard the gospel and was baptized and received the Holy Ghost, I simply was a member of the Church, now, I am a Bishop, but I am still a member of the church and you are members.  If you get wrong, I have some rules to deal with you and if I get wrong, God had rules for David when he was wrong.  Did you run out of The Church because a sister was one of the biggest hypocrites?  It wasn't because of her, I rather believe it was you because she is still there.  I know who it is now, it is you because the bible says, that if your brother trespass against you, go to him alone and if he hears you, you have gained him.

Most people expect out of everyone what they expect out of me.  Well, don't do that. There is no getting away from this, don't care what happens, there is no excuse. Here is what it says in Matthew 18:15-17.

Moreover, if thy brother trespass against thee, go and tell him about his fault between thee and him alone: if he hears thee, thou hast gained thy brother." But if he Will not hears thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.  Matthew 18:15-17.

If he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church. But if he neglects to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican. Do you leave the church because there are hypocrites there?

If he doesn't hear the church, let him be as a publican. The church cuts him off.  I am not going to leave the church if, there are only two of us. My place is in The Church.  Everybody's place is in the church, in The Church.

Let him be a hypocrite and leave the church and not you.  You may be the only one right, then you ought to have stayed there in the Church. You say that you are the only one right and you left the Church??   Don't you leave, whatever you do You stay in The Church.

All these things are written to keep people from being lawless and from doing anything they want to do. We would have a terrible world to live in if we did not have laws and order. You can't do what you please in the world and get by with it. There are rules for you to go by, rules for everyone. God built the church up and built it lawfully to govern you and everyone must abide by the laws of the church after he gets in the church. It doesn't leave anyone out there to be lawless, but everyone must abide by the laws.

I want to teach you doctrine and get you set up so you will know the truth about everything. It is like a ship nearing England and someone jumps overboard. A ship nearing its destination and one jumps overboard? When the ship Paul was on broke apart they were commanded to stay on board.

When Church becomes small, stay on board. STAY ON BOARD You can't be saved unless you abide on board. They may say that there aren't many left there; Sister so and so left, that good singer and no one left to sing solos; Deacon so and so left, but you stay on board. If they tell you a lot more are gone, stay on board. You can't be saved unless you stay on board.

Do I know what I am talking about? I am talking from a background of experience. When I was at 1254 South 17th Street.  I had a group there, but they began to jump overboard.  All of them jumped overboard and left me on the ship, praise God, but I stayed on board. The building was sold. It was furnished from the first floor to the third, the mission downstairs with the pool, but they went.  I stayed on board.  I stored the furniture and was the only member left.  I rented a back room and went there and read my bible and I stayed on board. The Church was on the second floor in a back room, but that was The Church. Jesus had set it up, thank God, thank the Lord! I stayed on board. That was before you got here. Oh, how the Holy Ghost will guide you.

They wanted to put me in the army, but I said. "No, not me." I didn't have anyone to stand with me, no one to give me one word of consolation, but I said, not me!  They called me to 22nd and Snyder Streets and examined me and said, "You will make a good solider," but I said, "Not me!" I would go on my bicycle and talk with them, and the man would ask me about the religion I had. I told them the best I could. I couldn't do as good a job as I can now, but I did enough.  The Holy Ghost helped me. He said, "All right, you go home and when I get ready for you, I will call you." I didn't get a postal card up to this present time. I withstood and said I would die or go to jail and stay there until I was gray as an opossum.

The stand was in me with no one to give me any consolation but glory to God, I was determined to abide in The Church.  The Church members don't fight, they don't take up weapons and they will tell it too. ( This refers to those who are conscientious objectors and not to Cornelius house in Acts 10 chapter because he was a soldier a commander of 100 soldiers. But the Church does not use weapons of war to spread the word of God. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. This also does not refer to rulers and magistrates.
Participation in combat or non-combat military service is generally left to the conscience of each individual in the Church.  This may mean that they will have to go to prison or may receive worst punishment in countries where military service is mandatory.  This is a great example of an individual who is pacifist taking a stance according to their conscience and willing to suffer the consequences for their action because of their personal belief).

I was the only one telling it, not another one I knew of was taking a stand. The preacher told me once, I believe you are not going to have to go to war. I said to myself, isn't that something, the preacher telling me that!" Well, all of them are blind, but I stayed on board. Your place is in The Church.

"THEY WENT OUT FROM US, BUT THEY WERE NOT OF US; FOR IF THEY HAD BEEN OF US, THEY WOULD NO DOUBT HAVE CONTINUED WITH US: BUT THEY WENT OUT...

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will, may he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, then continue in prayer, tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances.  Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen

With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Currently the following groups are eligible for COVID vaccine in Georgia:
Everyone age 5 and older.  Note: Pfizer is the only COVID vaccine currently approved for children aged 5 and older. People younger than 18 years of age are not authorized to receive either the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

 ONGOING GUIDANCE for Red Zone
• Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19
• Practice social distancing
• Frequently wash hands
• Frequent cleaning of public and high touch areas
• Practice telework and staggered office schedules where feasible, with safety measures
• Non-essential City facilities may open to the public. Masking will be mandated for now and the number of persons indoors may be limited to avoid crowding

Social Distancing guidelines:
• Social distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It includes actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and maintaining distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.
• Social distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible, limiting nonessential travel, working from home, and skipping social gatherings.
• All people should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously ill or at high risk.
• Social distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.

When to Wear a Mask:
Those who are staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical or homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain populations. Wear a Mask when:
• Shopping at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.
• While visiting your health care provider.
• Traveling on public transportation.
• Interacting with customers/clients at essential businesses.
• When feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing.
• In all public spaces indoors and outdoors.

Because homemade masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.
Everyone should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs, sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the virus.
