APOSTLE'S MESSAGE

Date: June 13, 2021

To all the Saints of God,

Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World.  As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.

Health authorities and governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  In some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.

·        As of June 9, 2021, the City of Atlanta, Georgia has moved to Phase 4 of the Reopening Plan.

·        Social distancing is recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to control the spread or for individual safety.  Medium gatherings with face mask and social distancing are allowed.

·         Covid-19 vaccinations in Georgia are offered to everyone 12 years of age and older.  Note: Pfizer is the only COVID vaccine currently approved for children aged 12 and older.

We are continuing limited in-person services with face mask, social distancing, and temperature checks.  We are also continuing online service through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.   In-person Baptism and prayer service are available using social distancing and personal protective equipment by emailing your request to:

  info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.

As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.

Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:

Jesus is Lord and Christ (part 2)

 By Apostle Dennis G. Smith

1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

We are picking up where we started from in part 1 beginning again at the term “Lord” which refers to the fact that Jesus is God almighty and Christ is the title that refers to the fact that Jesus is the Messiah the Savior of all mankind.

Jesus Christ as God Almighty is recognized by most oneness believing Christians as the one and only preexistent God who becomes a natural human being or natural human bodily form through the Virgin Mary and then returns to his Spiritual Bodily after his death on the cross by rising from the dead and ascending into heaven.  To some he would be the original astronaut or Space traveler or perhaps Spaceman although he did not need a rocket ship to ascend into outer space above the clouds.  He would be the proof that we have been visited by someone from outer space called in the bible heaven or the third heaven.

Acts 1:9 – 11 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Understanding the titles of God or the manifestations of God revealed in Matthew 28:19 is the key to avoid the controversy and debate that seems to resurface during each generation.   The One and only God is known to us as Father in creation because he made all things, as Son in redemption because he was born a natural human life through the Virgin Mary and died on the cross for our sins, and as Holy Ghost in the Church because he sends his Holy Spirit to indwell all believers beginning on the day of Pentecost the Birthday of the Church.

He is not known to us as a separate Big Daddy God and a separate little Boy God as to imply two Gods.  This reduction to little boy God show erroneous and perhaps even false thinking concerning the rulership of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for he declared that “All Power is given unto me in heaven and in earth!!”  Even though he was born a little baby boy to the Virgin Mary in a flesh and blood human body, he remained at the same time while he was a baby boy, he was the creator and ruler of all things.  The Eternal Spirit that dwelt within the little baby human flesh and blood body of Jesus, the divine nature remained the creator and ruler of all things.  He was fully human and fully God at the same time.  The One God was human and divine, God and man.  He had two natures, but he was not two or three persons or two or three Gods.  This is commonly called dual nature.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

The term Lord is used to refer to God in the Old Testament.  Because Israel new the Lord as God, it establishes why Apostle Paul asked the question, “Who art thou Lord?”

The Prophet Moses refers to the Lord as God when addressing the Israelites in the wilderness and teaching them to love God Almighty.

Deuteronomy 6:4 - 5 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:   And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

In Psalms 90: 1- 17 Moses acknowledges that God is eternal, that he is not limited by time.  But he has given natural man a limited life span in a flesh and blood human body averaging about 70 to 80 years and slightly more based on strength.  As a result of his limited time in the flesh, he must learn to number the days of his natural life span.  Then he prays for mercy, calling the Lord Our God.

In Psalms 100:1 - 5 the praise of God iterates that the Lord is God, so that we worship him as God Almighty. Psalms 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

The term Lord is a term that also indicates nobility, prince, authority, control, power over others, master, chief, or a ruler in the English language.  "Lord" is the title also used to refer to God in the English language.  This term Lord Jesus alone should establish in the mind of all believers that he is the creator and ruler of all that exist in heaven and on earth.  This should open any confused mind to see that using any statement that implies a reduction in power is false.  While it is true that he took on the form of a servant and humbled himself in flesh and blood he continued to have all power even while in his state of humility.

The Statement "Jesus is Lord" serves as a statement of faith for the majority of Christians who believe in the dual nature of God.  Those who regard the Lord Jesus as human and divine placed emphasis on the fact that he “is” or in some cases “was” when speaking of his natural body both fully man and fully God.   “Jesus is Lord” is a part of the motto of the World Council of Churches.  When he arose from the dead, he was no longer a natural body containing flesh and blood but was exalted to a spiritual body which contains flesh and bones but no blood.  Which was the same type of Body that he walked in as Melchizedek.

Genesis 14:18 - 20 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.  And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:   And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Hebrews 7:1 - 3 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;  To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;  Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

This may sound complicated to some people, until you come to realize that the Lord Jesus Christ is simply the One God Almighty doing marvelous works!!!  Once again the simple way to understand and comprehend this is to use this statement about the One God.  The One God is “Father in creation” because he made all things what some call “God the Father”, the one God is “Son in redemption” because he took on flesh and blood by being born of the Virgin Mary and died on the cross for the salvation of all mankind, what some call “God the Son”, and the One God indwells all human believers who ask for his Spirit as “Holy Ghost in the Church” what some call “God the Holy Ghost”.   Notice we are not stating three different Gods but one God revealing himself or known to us in three different ways!!!  This is why during this present time most Christians now use the general statement God is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or God is Father, was Son, and is Holy Ghost when explaining the Trinity of Titles recorded in Matthew 28:19.  This is a critical area in obtaining salvation because if you do not believe that the Lord Jesus is God our Savior you will die in your sins.

John 8:23 - 25 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.  I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

PSA110:04 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 5:5 - 9 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.  As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.  Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;   And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;  Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

The issues that have caused much false teaching and confusion centered around two opposing themes. One theme being truth namely "The Lord Jesus Christ is the one and only preexistent God who becomes a natural human being or natural human bodily form and then returns to a Spiritual Human Bodily Form as he was before.  This is usually explained by saying he came from God and went back to God".   And the other theme called adoptionism which is false and correctly declared to be heresy – that Jesus was a natural human being who was "adopted" by God at his baptism, crucifixion, or resurrection.  Adoptionism denies the eternal pre-existence of Jesus Christ as God Almighty.

From the presentation of these issues you should see that you are going to be confronted with much false teaching in your walk with the Lord Jesus, and you must never be persuaded from your faith in Jesus Christ, that he is the Lord God Almighty.

Apostle Paul stated in Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Those who are persuaded to not believe that Jesus Christ is God Almighty will be lost because they do not know who God is!!!!!

2 Thessalonians 1:7- 12  And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,   In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:   Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;  When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.  Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:   That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The baptisms recorded in the scriptures after the birth of the Church referred to in Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16; Acts 19:5 and 1 Cor 6:11 uses name of the Lord Jesus” or Jesus Christ to remit and wash away sins.

ACT2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:16 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

ACT19:05 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

1CO6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Everyone or every tongue should come to confess that “Jesus Christ is Lord" as in Philippians 2:9 - 11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Gospel scriptures which are the teachings concerning the good news of salvation clearly state and indicate that he is Christ the Savior who died for our sins then calls him our Lord which is the term used in the Old Testament to call him God Almighty.  From this all should see that there really is no confusion, it is an issue of whether or not you believe in the Truth!!!

1 Corinthians 15:3-7    "For I passed on to you in the first place what I had myself received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve, then to more than five hundred brothers at once ... then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles ..."

Romans 1:3-4     "Concerning His Son, Who was born of David's seed by natural descent, Who was declared Son of God with power by the Spirit of Holiness when he was raised from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace."

We continue with a Message from Apostle S. McDowell Shelton …. “God hath Made That Same Jesus Both Lord And Christ” ………

"GOD HATH MADE THAT SAME JESUS BOTH LORD AND CHRIST" (part 2)

By Bishop S. McDowell Shelton

His life was taken from Him, but He opened not His mouth.  Surely, He has borne our griefs.
It may sometimes appear that our burdens are unbearable and that we cannot proceed a step further, but there is someone who is caring for us at this immediate time and present moment.  For surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our burdens.  The chastisement of our peace was upon Him though we deemed Him smitten of God.  But still, He holds out the invitation saying, "Cast your cares upon me, for I care for you.”

Oh, yes, I do.  It may not seem like it and you may feel as if I am far away, but if you would just reach out and feel. If haply you would just feel for me, you would find that I am right there as a present help in the time of trouble.  I am nigh you, even in your mouth.

Deuteronomy 30: 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

If you could only believe, if you could only comprehend, you would see the glory of God and receive the revelation that you have no need of leaves at this present time.

John 11:14-15 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.  And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

We currently possess a power that descended upon the Church on the day of “Pentecost, when they were filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost and spoke with other as the tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting; And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them; And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)

God promised that we would have power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us” and His promises are true.

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: And ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1 :8)

In His name we are going to cast out devils and “in His name’ we are going to speak in new tongues.  If there be any sick among us, we already have the cure, for in the name of Jesus Christ shall we lay hands on them.  They shall recover, they shall be healed, they shall be delivered even as they were in the days of old.

"And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16:17-18)

Although the psalmist was incapacitated to wait for the Lord in his flesh, he spoke constantly of Him and wrote psalms to His glory and honor.  He said of the Lord,
"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."(Psalms 23:5)

There should be no empty cups in the house of God, although we are well aware that there are times when you feel poor in spirit and dejected in both body and mind. But, in spite of this, hold out your cup and let the Holy Ghost rain down and fill it up and flood it over.  The power and presence of God is ever present to descend upon you to grant you your petition.  It will fill not only your cup, but it will continue to flow and overflow from one cup to another—passing in succession as it did on the day of Pentecost when the cloven tongues of fire sat upon each of them.

The psalmist said, "He anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over." (Psalms 23:5)

Though our enemies have wished us harm and have long awaited our destruction, we waited on the Lord.  We waited patiently on Him and He did renew our strength and gave us the desires of our heart.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles: they shall run and not be weary, and they walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Our soul was in remembrance that blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and blessed is the man whose hope the Lord is.
"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is." (Jeremiah 17:7)

We called upon the Lord and He heard our cry. And He will hear you, too.  “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him, and saved him out of all his troubles." (Psalms 34:6)

Nothing that is evil shall befall us, unless God permits it, for He killeth” and He maketh alive. "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." (Psalms 91 :10)

And as we gaze beyond the horizon toward the future, we do not look at it with misty-eyed pessimism, nor do we look at it with drudgery, darkness, and despair.  We have a promise” and His promises are sure, His promises are true.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives because we are going to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalms 23:6)

We can truly say’ along with our counterpart who, in the early days of the Church said, "To whom shall we go? None other has the word of eternal life.", for we have no where else to go, neither are we looking for anywhere else to go.  When we came, we found the Lord already here in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. We found Him couching as an old lion and we dare not stir him up.

"Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion: and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?" (Genesis 49:9

He was lying here in Zion with a sceptor and a lawgiver between His feet and they have not departed from Him since, for Shiloh has not yet returned.

Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

We are determined to dwell in the house of the Lord forever, for our blessings are here, mercy is here, salvation is here.  Our life is here (though some may trouble us and try to cause conflict), "Joy awaits thee, O Lord, in Zion." "Praise awaits thee."

Through our discourse we hope we are sharing our experience with someone who has been to that fountain. We hope we are sharing our experience with someone who has dipped their cup and taken a drink from that well of living waters.  We hope we are sharing our experience with someone who has thirsted and hungered after righteousness and can now say, "I am filled, I am filled. I do not thirst anymore because I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.' (Matthew 5:6) I heard about this water through His preacher and stopped by because I was thirsty.  I heard that this water had special qualities, for if you drank of it you would be satisfied for evermore.  It is a water that springs up within you and creates a well of its own—even a well of living water." The water we speak of is most unique, for it is a reproductive type of water.  As you partake of it, it magnifies itself and grows within you, having been sprouted from a seed.  And not only is it for the drinking thereof, but it is also for the washing away of your sins by baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes, due to being in this corporal flesh, we experience a natural thirst, but for sure, we no longer have a spiritual thirst.  And though we may sometimes hunger in a natural sense we, indeed, have a good spiritual diet for we are feasting on manna from on high.  In our weariness of the flesh’ we are strengthened and sustained daily by this heavenly manna, for we ask it of Him even as we ask to receive this day our daily bread.
He has made it so that we have need of both the living water and this living manna. The living water (the Holy Ghost) functions in motivating you in this present evil world and gives you power over it, but without this living manna (the Word of God), all the Holy Ghost in the world could not save you.

Someone from the Pennsylvania Dutch section of Pennsylvania wrote us requesting an explanation of Revelations 11:15. This particular individual’ mentioned that this scripture "sounds" as if it is referring to two persons. Obviously, he did not know the joyful sound, for what sounded to him like a symphony was not a symphony at all, but a cacophony—noises in- coherent.  He had no comprehension, for he did not have the revelation of Revelations.

The scripture says in Revelations 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ and he shall reign for ever and ever. "

Regardless of how this scripture "sounds,” neither you nor any preacher in the world can read one scripture that states there are two or three persons in the Godhead.  Your perception of this scripture was most erroneous, for if you had been directed by the Holy Ghost you would have surely understood when it specified "He," not "they", shall reign.

The Bible states, "The Lord shall reign forever………" (Exodus 15:18) Did you forever think that because it said “……. of our Lord, and of His Christ ….” it was indicating two separate entities?

This same Jesus whom they crucified, God has made Him both Lord and Christ. ( Acts 2:36)

And who is God? God is the Lord, for Psalms 100:3 informs us that the Lord, he is God.  In further explication, we read: "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat: And did all drink the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."
(1st Corinthians 10:1-4)

The fact that ….. that rock was Christ." points out that Christ was present even during the time of Moses and the rest of God's people.

In speaking to the people after the holy Ghost had fallen, Peter told them in Acts 2:36—“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ."

Jesus was not a schizophrenic (having a split personality), even though he was both human and divine. He was and is “one.”  Writing to the Church at Ephesus, our brother Paul makes it perfectly clear that he is indeed "one" when he proclaims, "One Lord:” "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." (Ephesians 4:.5)

And what is the name of this "One Lord"? Our brother Paul, while on his way to Damascus asked the Lord this very question: "And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven± And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou. Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks."(Acts 9:3-5)

So, we ask you (for we already know) —did God make him Lord and Christ? Or did someone else make him Lord and Christ other than himself? If, by this time, you still do not know the correct answer we will readily supply it: No, none other made Him Lord and Christ than Himself, for nobody else possessed the power to make him Lord and Christ. He is a self-made Lord and-Christ.  No one else could make Him Lord and Christ but Himself, for no one else was worthy. Was not the altar searched and under the altar searched for one who was worthy to open the book?
When Paul met his disciples (in the 19th chapter of Acts) he asked them: "And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus; and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye lived? And they said unto him, we have not so much as heard of whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied." (Acts 19:1-6)

Notice that Paul told them to believe on Christ Jesus, not "Christ" and "Jesus.” And when they heard this they were baptized not in the name of "Lord" and "Jesus", but in the name of the Lord Jesus. They believed on Christ Jesus and were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

In Acts, the second chapter, the Apostle Peter commanded the people to repent after they realized they had crucified the Lord of Glory. They had crucified Jesus, who was both Lord and Christ. "Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

Notice again that they were commanded to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, not "Jesus" and "Christ,” But, people are so dishonest. They see only what they want to see.

God asked in Isaiah 48:11—For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should’ my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another."   We ask you why are you trying to pollute and spoil the holy name of God?

When Paul wrote to the Church at Colosse, he informed them : "Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." (Col. 3:24)

The point we wish to establish is that people are so easily inclined toward believing the erroneous conception of three Gods (Father, Son and Holy Ghost), but by the same measure, are quick to dispel any possibility of there being more than one devil.

The gospel according to John states: "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." (John I:10)

Not only the world, but everything that was made, was made by Him. Therefore, if anybody made Him Lord and Christ, that maker was He, for everything was made by Him.

Revelations 12:7-9 records---And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels’ and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast cut, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Although there are several titles referring to the devil ("Lucifer" being one of them), people will still generally agree to there being one devil. They will talk about many demons’ but will usually! maintain Old Satan. "Old Nick" in the singular. When they refer to Santa Claus as 'old Nick", that is about the only truth they tell during the Christmas season, if they only realized it. The people revere and praise this so-called Saint Nicholas, but who knows if he actually existed’ or accomplished the purported good works so commonly attributed to him? And even if he did accomplish such works, what shall they profit him? We were put on this earth to do good works. The scripture commands us to "... do good unto all men . . ( Galatians 6:10)

You are not proclaimed a saint because you do good, but vice-versa. It is because you are a saint that you do good.  Good works should not be done just to gain sainthood because regardless of how many good works you have accomplished, if you are not clean when you die you will be filthy still. "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and He which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." (Revelations 22:11)

Once dead, you will not be able to amend or alter the situation, for the dead knoweth nothing at all, neither have they any reward under the sun.
You may try to canonize or make someone into a saint after they die for the good deeds done in their flesh’ but let us tell you most imperatively that your efforts have been, are, and shall be in vain. Sainthood is obtained only by being perfected through the Word of God. The Bible states they are……”called to be saints." ( Romans 1:7 )

They are given this title honorarily as they press toward the' mark of perfection.   Somewhere along their pilgrimage, it is our sincere hope that, before they close their eyes, before they have their rendezvous with that last enemy called death—they will have reached their ultimate sainthood having carried it about as a badge of courage.  We pray that they will have a seal and a sign on their foreheads saying, I have been again of water the Spirit, I belong to Jesus and have been buried in His name by baptism.” We pray that they will have disentangled themselves from anything not like the Lord and reach that mark and place of perfection in Christ Jesus.  We pray that they will have left the principals of the doctrine as they voyaged on and did not slow up or balk when they found, as did our predecessor Paul, that it was hard to kick against the prick, but continued on and reached their sainthood.
In Revelations 12:9 we continue with our original thought of Jesus Christ) as both Lord and Christ: "And the great dragon was cast out, that' old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years." (Revelations 20:1-2)

That same one who was in the world and who came to the world, "…came unto his own and his own received his not." (See John 1:11) But nevertheless, all things were made by Him. "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and Without him was not anything made that was made." (John 1:1-3)
Thus, everything that was made was made by Him. That same Jesus who you questioned us about is surely both Lord and Christ.

Now may the Lord bless you, may the Lord Keep you, may the Lord preserve Your strength in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty.   Amen.

May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will, may he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, then continue in prayer, tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances.  Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life and continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved.  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen

With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith

Present Guidelines for Individual and Businesses in PHASE 4

·        Limited trips outside.

·        Wearing a face mask in some indoor public facilities is a mandate.

·        Frequent hand washing.

·        Continue to practice Social distancing.

·        Increased occupancy in food and retail establishments with social distancing and other protective measures.

·        Begin phasing in non-essential workers return to on sight working with safety precautions including social distancing and temperature checks.

·        Frequent cleaning of public and high touch areas

·        Small gatherings with social distancing

·        Some essential and non-essential City facilities and programs may begin to open.

·        City continues to accept special event applications subject to COVID safety requirements

·        Continue communication with local and State authorities to monitor public health metrics

 Social Distancing guidelines:

·                 Social distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It includes actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and maintaining distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.

·                 Social distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible, limiting nonessential travel, working from home, and skipping social gatherings.

·                 All people should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously ill or at high risk.

·                 Social distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.

When to Wear a Mask:

Those who are staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical or homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain populations. Wear a Mask when:

·             Shopping at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.

·                 While visiting your health care provider.

·                 Traveling on public transportation.

·                 Interacting with customers/clients at essential businesses.

·                 When feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing.

·                 In all public spaces indoors and outdoors.

Because homemade masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.

Everyone should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs, sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the virus.
