Date: July 24,
2022
To all the
Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this
Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God
that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health
and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health authorities and
governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face
coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and
get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. In
some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.
We are continuing limited indoor, in-person services with face mask,
social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing. We are also
continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. In-person
Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site,
attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:
info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.
As
we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear
our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans
13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no
power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS 3:1-2 Put
them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to
be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but
gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This week’s
encouraging words of growth focuses on:
“And
Whatsoever He Doeth Shall Prosper”
By Apostle
Dennis G. Smith
Psalms 1:1-
4 Blessed
is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the
way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Psalms 1:2 But his
delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and
night. Psalms 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and
whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalms 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are
like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
When we have set ourselves to walk in the Law of the Lord Jesus Christ,
everything that we do will prosper because there is no failure in God. God
is love, and love or Charity will never fail and love will never cease.
1Corinthian13:8 Charity
never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall
fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it
shall vanish away.
He is a God that cannot lie, and with the Lord
Jesus Christ all things are possible.
Mark10:27 And
Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for
with God all things are possible.
The word prosper is understood as bringing forth success, making a person
stronger , causing a person to succeed, to move forward, to pass through all
obstacles, and continue to progress in life. It assures the obedient
Apostolic Christians believer that they will thrive and succeed in everything
that they do that is done according to the will and plan of God Almighty.
Philippians 4:11- 13 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all
things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
This is the reason we always win when we obey the word of God Almighty. We
always win because we can do all things through Christ which will continually
make us stronger and stronger. This prosperity happens when we put our complete
trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and never turn back to the things of the world.
Titus1:1
- 3 Paul,
a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of
God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which
God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Titus 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is
committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
Just meditate for a moment on your empowerment to cast out devils and take up serpents and you will realize that you already have the victory before the attack of the devils cause trouble in your life or the constant temptation from evil people began to come upon you. It really is a fixed fight and you have already won because of the victory that we receive eternally with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The true Saint of God can face each moment of the day always with a mind of love, eternal hope, and eternal victory. The True Saint of God knows that they can never turn back to the world or turn away from Jesus Christ because it is not possible to save a person who turns from Jesus Christ.
We may face moments of tears, regret, pain from lost, torment from wicked
people and wicked spirits, but none of these things should cause us to lose our
faith and obedience to the word of God. All people should get a good
understanding of this passage that expresses that all backsliders who continue
in their backslidden ways will be lost because belief and obedience to the
commandments of Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved. So if a person rejects
the Lord Jesus Christ, it is impossible to save them from eternal damnation.
Hebrews 6:4 - 10 For it is
impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly
gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Hebrews6:5
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Hebrews6:6
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they
crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews6:7
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth
forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: Hebrews6:8
But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing;
whose end is to be burned. Hebrews6:9
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany
salvation, though we thus speak. Hebrews6:10
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye
have
This scripture that refers to those that backslide and return to the ways of the world which may sometimes be caused by the rejection or the persecution that they face in their daily life from their former friends or even their immediate family members. The purpose of this severe warning is to encourage all Christians to go forward in their profession of Christ instead of turning away because of temptation, persecution, hardships, afflictions, or any other troublesome obstacle that you may face in life.
You can only imagine the persecution that many of the Jewish Christians and
other Christians have faced in spreading the gospel around the world. Therefore
we all should clearly see that it cannot be referring to sinners who have never
turned from their worldly ways. Apostle Shelton told us to analyze this passage
of scripture. It mentioned "fall away.” A sinner has nothing from which to fall
away! He has not attained any spiritual heights from which to fall! How can you
renew a sinner? To "renew" means to repeat or do over again; to restore or make
new again. How can you renew a sinner unto repentance, when he has never
repented in the first place? However, once you repent and are baptized in the
name of Jesus Christ, you are no longer a sinner. You then have remission of
your sins. So, all should understand that this scripture is
referring to the backslider.
Jeremiah 3:14 - 15 Turn,
O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will
take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall
feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Apostle Shelton writes that this kind of marriage is a marriage wherein the
backslider, himself, has caused a separation! You and God are not living
together, and because of that—the marriage is not functioning. You are separated
from God. But when you want to come back to God, He has a home ready for you. He
maintains a home for you. He has a place for you, and you can come on home—no
matter what you have done, no matter how bad you have been. You have been like
that younger son of the man, whom they call the "prodigal son.” He threw away
his inheritance and would have dined on swine husks, but he came to himself and
remembered the blessings which he had left. He said that he was going to arise
and go back to his father's house and acknowledge his wrongs. He was not going
to go back and try to justify himself or make excuses for himself, but just to
go back humbly. He did not return home wanting a high place—not even that place
of honor that he had left. He would have been satisfied to go back a one of the
hired hands.
Luke15:11 - 24 And
he said, A certain man had two sons Luke 15:12 And the younger of them said to
his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he
divided unto them his living. Luke 15:13 And not many days after the younger son
gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted
his substance with riotous living. Luke 15:14 And when he had spent all, there
arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. Luke 15:15 And
he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into
his fields to feed swine. Luke 15:16 And he would fain have filled his belly
with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. Luke 15:17 And
when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have
bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! Luke 15:18 I will
arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against
heaven, and before thee, Luke 15:19 And am no more worthy to be called thy
son: make me as one of thy hired servants. Luke 15:20 And he arose, and came to
his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had
compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. Luke 15:21 And the
son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and
am no more worthy to be called thy son. Luke 15:22 But the father said to his
servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his
hand, and shoes on his feet: Luke 15:23 And bring hither the fatted calf,
and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: Luke 15:24 For this my son was
dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
There is no excuse given in the Bible for backsliders. Even if
you feel someone is speaking evil of you and doing evil toward you, you can hold
on and continue steadfastly until you make your enemies worship at your
footstool and testify that God is indeed in you. You must set “yourself” and be
as a tree planted by the water. You must set yourself and not be moved. And when
you set yourself to obey the commandments of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
who is the Almighty God, whatsoever you do will prosper!!!
May the Lord
Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will.
May he open
your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins
and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of your sins.
Then you must
continue in prayer to God asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on the Name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit
gives you utterances.
Then you must
leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love
of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
Then you must
continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that he that
endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With perfect
love,
Apostle Dennis
G. Smith

ONGOING
GUIDANCE
• Vaccination
remains the most effective protection against COVID-19
• Practice
social distancing
• Frequently
wash hands
• Frequent
cleaning of public and high touch areas
Social
Distancing guidelines:
• Social
distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It includes
actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and maintaining
distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.
• Social
distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible, limiting
nonessential travel, working from home, and minimizing social gatherings.
• All people
should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously ill or at
high risk.
• Social
distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.
When to Wear
a Mask:
Those who are
staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with
COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical or
homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain populations. Wear
a Mask when:
• Shopping at
essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.
• While
visiting your health care provider.
• Traveling on
public transportation.
• Interacting
with customers/clients at essential businesses.
• When feeling
sick, coughing, or sneezing.
• In all public
spaces indoors and outdoors.
Because masks
protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important
that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This
helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not
symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.
Everyone should
remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By
increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs,
sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the
virus.
