Ministers of Jesus Christ Assemblies of The Apostolic Faith Atlanta, Georgia - USA Apostle Dennis G. Smith, Pastor and Spiritual Overseer |
Date: February 19, 2023
To all the Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health authorities and governmental officials are now advising people to wear face mask in public gatherings, use social distancing, and get vaccinated for your own health and safety from the Covid-19 virus. In some places wearing face mask is no longer mandatory in indoor public spaces.
· February 17, 2023, community transmission of Covid-19 remains in the green zone in Atlanta, Georgia. This means that the spread of the virus is at a low level in Atlanta, and you should continue to take precautions based on for your individual health condition. All must continue to be cautious because the area where you live may have a high spread.
· Face masks continue to be recommended in public gatherings for individual safety based on your individual health condition and risk.
· Gatherings indoors is allowed without face mask, but each individual should be aware of their health risk.
· Vaccinations and boosters remain the recommended most effective way to control the spread of Covid-19 according to health authorities.
· Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters are offered to everyone in the State of Georgia.
We are open for indoor in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing when needed. Each person attending in-person services should be fully aware of their own health risk as mask may be removed during singing and speaking, and some may attend without mask. We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.
In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:
info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.
As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:
Power and Strength from the Holy Ghost Within
by Apostle Dennis G. Smith
Acts 1:5 - 8 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The wicked people and wicked spirits of demons and devils may check up on you from time to time to see if you have completely submitted yourself to the Holy Ghost which is the Spirit of the Lord God Jesus Christ the one and only Almighty God. They will check up on you by tempting you with lustful desires, by causing trouble and hardship in your home, by causing trouble and hardship on your job, by making your walk through life hard and making your way hard by bruising your heals. But when you use the Power of the Holy Ghost within, you will bruise their heads and cast them out of your home, you will have victory on your job, in your business, you will be triumphant in every war you have with the forces of evil if you constantly live a Holy Lifestyle in obedience to the commandments of the Lord God Jesus Christ.
Mark 16:17 - 18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
MARK 13:10 - 11 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
When you recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost it is the Spirit of the Lord God Jesus Christ with you and indwelling you. You will be possessed with the Spirit of the Almighty God who will feed you and make you strong. You will no longer have to worry about your daily provisions as long as you are not a lazy person. You will know that lazy people will come to poverty because they will not work. You cannot say you have faith in the Lord God and he is leading you if you are lazy and will not work. You will have to surrender all to the indwelling Spirit knowing that Faith without work is dead being alone. You cannot gain something if you do nothing. You will have to become productive if you want to make progress in anything that you seek to accomplish in your life. You do not have to wonder any more or worry about things as you once did before, just be faithful and obedient in seeking to live a holy lifestyle.
Matthew 6:30 - 34 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
The Lord God Jesus Christ will give strength to his people. Just as the Kingdom of Israel received its strength from the Lord, the Saints of God who submit themselves to the will of God will receive strength today and every day of their life.
Psalms 68:34 - 35 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds. O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.
But you may say, I am weak, I am young and inexperienced, or I am old and feeble in my body. But the scripture has declared that the Lord God Jesus Christ giveth strength to them that have no might and they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.
Isaiah 40:25 – 31 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
The Holy Ghost will give you the power and strength so that you will no longer need to speak in respect of what you do not have in your life. You will not need to grumble or complain about what you lack because you know that God will provide what you need. Therefore we can all continue to grow and learn to prosper when we are experiencing financial hardship or when we are experiencing financial growth. When our body is young and healthy or when our body is going through the aging process, and we are experiencing bodily ailments from frailty due to being old. We still have the Holy Ghost within us and can have contentment in whatever state that we experience.
Philippians 4:11 - 13 Not
that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am,
therewith to be content.
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere
and in all things, I am
instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both
to abound and to suffer need. Philippians 4:13 I
can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
And now that you know that your receipt of the Holy Ghost has made you strong from within your inner man. Your inner strength is now far above all bodily forces and the outward forces of the world that challenge you. You can endure the hardness, the tribulations, the persecution, the mockery, the scorn, the criticism, the financial stresses and losses, the mental stresses, the bodily ailments or whatever you are faced with in your daily life. You can now approach every situation in life with complete confidence that you will have a victorious outcome as a soldier on the battlefield for the Lord God Jesus Christ. You will never again have to entangle yourself with evil people and their evil ways, or be a part of the sinful ways of wicked, evil worldly natural family members that you still love and care about, but you will be the light of the Lord Jesus Christ pointing out the ways of evil that will lead people to be punished in the eternal lake of fire. And you will be the example of the Saints of God pointing all people to the way of salvation that will lead to eternal life with the Lord God Jesus Christ.
2Timothy 2:1 - 4 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
All true believers will receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost and have the power to live a holy lifestyle overcoming all sinful behavior. And when we live a holy obedient lifestyle this will please the Lord God Jesus Christ the one who chose you to be a soldier.
May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will.
May he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins.
Then you must continue in prayer to the Lord God Jesus Christ asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on His Name which is the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances. This experience with God will endow you with power.
Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
Then you must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine, remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
