To all the
Saints of God,
Grace
and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this
Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of
God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the
health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health
authorities and
governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face
coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands,
and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. In
some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.
-
As of August
5, 2022,
community transmission of Covid-19 remains in the high-level Red Zone.
-
Social distancing
and face mask are recommended for gatherings to control the spread of
Covid-19 or for individual safety.
-
Gatherings indoors
is allowed but face mask and social distancing is recommended for individual
safety.
-
Vaccinations and
boosters remains the recommended most effective way to control the spread of
Covid-19 by health authorities.
-
Covid-19
vaccinations and boosters are offered to everyone in the State of Georgia.
-
Wear a
well-fitting mask indoors in public, regardless of vaccination status ✓ If
you are high risk for severe disease: (1) wear a mask or respirator for
greatest protection, (2) consider avoiding non-essential indoor activities
in public, (3) talk to your medical provider about other precautions to
take, (4) have a plan for rapid testing, and (5) talk to your medical
provider about treatments like oral antivirals, PrEP, and monoclonal
antibodies ✓ If
you have household or social contact with someone at high risk for severe
disease: (1) consider selftesting to detect infection before contact, and
(2) consider wearing a mask when indoors with them ✓ Stay
up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and boosters ✓ Maintain
improved ventilation throughout indoor spaces when possible ✓ Follow
CDC recommendations for isolation and quarantine, including testing
guidance.
We are
continuing limited indoor, in-person services with face mask, social
distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing. We are also continuing
online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. In-person Baptism and
prayer service are available by attending our local service on site,
attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:
As
we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to
hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans
13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no
power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS
3:1-2 Put
them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey
magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be
no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This
week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:
“The Power
in Prayer and Fasting” (Part 2)
By
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
We would
like for all
people to come to a full understanding that prayer is the method by which
any person in the world can obtain victory and other blessings from the Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. When all people can finally
achieve a complete understanding first to realize that there is only one
God, then they
will know who to talk to about their daily situations.
This
one and only God is known to us as Father in creation because he made all
things. This one and only God is known to us as the son of God in redemption
because he took on a flesh and blood body through the Virgin Mary and died
on the cross paying the price for our sins and giving all believers a chance
to repent of their sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of their sins.
This
one and only God is the Holy Ghost that moved on the Prophets and he will
come and indwell all obedient repentant believers who ask him for the gift
of the Holy Ghost and cause them to speak with other tongues as the Holy
Ghost which is the Spirit of God gives them utterances.
And
when we know the one and only God, we can talk
to him in prayer and receive victory and many blessings in our life when we
ask him to supply our needs and continually obey
his commandments. In making all men to see who God is, we have opened their
understanding to see that the lack of salvation and blessings in their life
results from a failure to pray. Which is a failure to obey
the commandments of God and to ask God
for all
of our
needs.
James 4:1 - 3 From
whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your
lusts that war in your members? James 4:2 Ye lust, and have
not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet
ye have not, because ye ask not. James 4:03 Ye
ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your
lusts.
The
Centurion solder believed that the Lord Jesus could heal his servant by
speaking the word only. The exceptional faith of this man should make it
clear about the power of healing through the spoken word.
Matthew 8:7 - 8 And
Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. Matthew 8:8 The centurion
answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my
roof: but speak the
word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Apostle
Paul teaches us to warn unruly people, comfort, and support those that are
weak, follow good towards all men and to pray without ceasing. This again is
why we sing the song that says, “ Saints don’t stop praying for the Lord is
nigh, Saint don’t stop praying he’ll hear your cry, for the Lord has
promised and his words are true, Saints don’t stop praying he’ll answer you.
1Thessolonians 5:14 - 20 Now
we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the
feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 1Thessolonians
5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that
which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 1Thessolonians 5:16
Rejoice evermore. 1Thessolonians 5:17 Pray
without ceasing. 1Thessolonians
5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you. 1Thessolonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit. 1Thessolonians
5:20 Despise not prophesyings.
You
may have thought that your troubles were to great for you to overcome. You
may see the constant harassment of the kingdom of Satan, various devils and
those that serve them as obstacles that are extremely difficult to defeat in
your life. But when you pray and cast out devils you will come to realize
that Satan and all those that serve them are a defeated foe because you
already have the victory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
And there may be those in your life who are like the wife of Job who tried
to persuade him to give up and die. But we are showing you the bright side,
the side of victory to everything that you are faced with.
Job 2:7 - 10 So
went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore
boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. Job2:8 And he took him a
potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. Job2:9 Then
said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God,
and die. Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as
one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall
we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In
all this did not Job sin with his lips.
Your
victory will
be accomplished
through your
sincere prayer.
The simple act of talking to God and having the faith to
trust that
he will answer your prayer and make a way for you out of no way will bring
you continuous victory in your life. Job humbled himself before the Lord
God when talking to God and repented for speaking of his pain and suffering
with words without knowledge and the Lord God blessed him and gave him the
victory.
Job 42:1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said, Job 42:2 I know that thou
canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
JOB42:03 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I
uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew
not. JOB42:04 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee,
and declare thou unto me. JOB42:05 I have heard of thee by the hearing of
the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. JOB42:06 Wherefore
I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when
he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave
Job twice as much as he had before.
Let us also look at Joshua the successor to Moses in leading the children of
Israel to the promise land and in victory over all the previous occupants of
the land and their armies.
JOS1:01 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to
pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister,
saying, JOS1:02 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this
Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them,
even to the children of Israel. JOS1:03 Every place that the sole of your
foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
JOS1:04 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the
river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward
the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. JOS1:05 There
shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as
I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake
thee. JOS1:06 Be strong and of a good courage:
for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I
sware unto their fathers to give them. JOS1:07 Only be thou strong and very
courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which
Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to
the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. JOS1:08 This
book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that
is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then
thou shalt have good success. JOS1:09 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong
and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD
thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
After the death of Moses, God appointed Joshua the minister of Moses
to lead the children of Israel to the land in which he would give them. And
he gave him the power to defeat every man in battle all the days of his
life. This can be seen as blessing
a man with invincible ability in battle so that he cannot be defeated by
another man in battle all the days of his life. In this, the
people of God should see that we are victorious and unable to be defeated
because the Lord God Jesus Christ has made us eternal winners through his
blood and the power of prayer. We cast out devils, we cast mountains into
the sea, and nothing is impossible for all of us who believe in the power of
the Lord Jesus Christ the one and only Almighty God when we do all things
according to his will. We are more than conquerors.
The Children
of Israel under the leadership of Joshua was victorious over an
alliance of five Amorite kings from Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and
Eglon. At
Gibeon, Joshua asked the LORD
to cause the sun and moon to stand still until
the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. So
the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full
day and there has never been a day like it before or since, when the LORD
answered the prayer of a man concerning the elements of the sun and the
moon, and the Lord fought for Israel on the battlefield for he casted
great stones
from heaven which
killed more Canaanites than those which the children
of Israel killed
with the sword.
Joshua10:11 -
14 And
it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down
to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them
unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than
they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
Joshua 10:11 Then
spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites
before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun,
stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
Joshua 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people
had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book
of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to
go down about a whole day. Joshua 10:14 And there was no day like that
before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for
the LORD fought for Israel.
We
continue with the Many Infallible Proofs for Why Pray from Apostle S.
McDowell Shelton:
Many Infallible Proofs for “Why Pray.”
7. James 5:16 Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
8. Isaiah 53:5 But
he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are
healed.
9. 1st Peter 2:24 Who
his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead
to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
10. Jeremiah 6:14 They
have healed also the hurt of the daughter of
my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no
peace.
11. Jeremiah 8:11 For
they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, peace,
peace; when there is no peace.
12. Acts 14:8 And
there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple
from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
Acts 14:9 The
same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he
had faith to be healed,
We will
continue with part 3 of this message on next week...…
May the
Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his
will.
May he open
your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your
sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of your sins.
Then you
must continue in prayer to God asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on the
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues
as the spirit gives you utterances.
Then you
must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming
the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the
pride of life.
Then you
must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine remembering always that
he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With
perfect love,
Apostle
Dennis G. Smith

ONGOING
GUIDANCE
•
Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19
• Practice
social distancing
•
Frequently wash hands
• Frequent
cleaning of public and high touch areas
Social
Distancing guidelines:
• Social
distancing means staying away from close contact in public spaces. It
includes actions like staying out of places where lots of people gather and
maintaining distance — approximately 6 feet — from others.
• Social
distancing also includes minimizing contact with people when possible,
limiting nonessential travel, working from home, and minimizing social
gatherings.
• All
people should practice social distancing — not just those who are seriously
ill or at high risk.
• Social
distancing is a proven way to slow the spread of pandemics.
When to
Wear a Mask:
Those who
are staying home and have no close contact with people who are infected with
COIVID-19 do not need a mask most of the time. However, wearing a nonmedical
or homemade mask may be helpful in certain situations or for certain
populations. Wear a Mask when:
• Shopping
at essential businesses, like grocery stores or pharmacies.
• While
visiting your health care provider.
• Traveling
on public transportation.
•
Interacting with customers/clients at essential businesses.
• When
feeling sick, coughing, or sneezing.
• In all
public spaces indoors and outdoors.
Because
masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is
important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving
their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only
mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in
the community.
Everyone
should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.”
By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs,
sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of
the virus.
