Date: September

To all the
Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this
Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God
that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health
and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health authorities and
governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face
coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands, and
get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. In
some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.
We are open for indoor in-person services with face mask, social distancing,
temperature checks and Covid-19 testing. We are also continuing online services
through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. In-person Baptism and prayer service are
available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on
Zoom, or emailing your request to:
info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.
As
we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear
our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans
13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no
power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS 3:1-2 Put
them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to
be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but
gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This week’s
encouraging words of growth focuses on:
These Signs
Shall Follow them that believe (part 1)
By Apostle
Dennis G. Smith
We would like to emphasize with great passion that a true believer in the Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ who is the one and only God will always produce results
from their faith in God. We must all understand that true faith does not
stand alone, it always produces works and signs or results. If we except a
word of teaching as the true, then we must let our actions and conduct be
governed by what we have learned, otherwise the lesson learned is just empty
words with a useless meaning. The bible is not a book of fantansy, there is
proof about the promises of God. Faith itself serves as evidence of things that
are not seen in that it generates signs and actions from the person who truly
has hope.
Mark 16:14 - 20 Afterward
he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat and upbraided them with their
unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen
him after he was risen.
Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature.
Mark
16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned. Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark
16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall
not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark
16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into
heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and
preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with
signs following. Amen.
This scripture refers to Lord Jesus Christ appearing to the Apostles after his
resurrection from the dead and rebuking them because they did not believe the
testimony gave by Mary Magdalene and other disciples, about his resurrection
from the dead. In doing so, the Lord Jesus teaches us about the signs of
believers who will be baptized and will be saved, while nonbelievers will be
condemned. In teaching the Apostles about believers and unbelievers, he
teaches them about the result of the actions of those who will truly obey his
gospel. He also teaches us about the judgement and punishment for those who will
not believe and obey his gospel.
After this teaching he ascends into heaven leaving proof in his action that he
has all power as the one and only almighty God. This should reveal to all people
the results and signs that will follow the path that you take. We should
expect that the result from our belief which will be good and the results from
unbelief will be bad. The Apostles did not believe the testimony of a woman who
the Lord Jesus Christ had cast out seven devils when she told them he that he
had risen from the dead.
Mark 16:9–11: Now
when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary
Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. Mark 16:10 And she went and
told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. Mark 16:11 And they,
when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
Then the Lord
Jesus appeared in a different form to two other people. And though he was
in a different form their eyes were eventually opened so they could recognize
him as he spoke to them. And when they told the rest of the brethren what they
saw, they did not believe them.
Mark 16:12–13 After
that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into
the country. MAR16:13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither
believed they them.
Then the Lord Jesus appeared to all the remaining eleven Apostles. And He
rebukes them for not believing the earlier testimonies of his resurrection and
tells them to go and preach the gospel to every creature. Every person who
believes and is baptized will be saved; but every person who does not believe
will be condemned.
Belief and non-belief is the main message which reveals that belief and faith
will produce signs and wonders perhaps special miraculous powers to speak with
new and unknown tongues, victory over serpents or devils, victory over evil
people and evil spirits, miracles of deliverance from hurt, harm or danger, and
miracles of healing of the sick from diseases. In other words,
there are many positive results that will happen for those who believe which
will save their soul and benefit them in daily life.
Mark 16:16 - 20 He
that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall
be damned. Mark 16:17
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out
devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:18 They shall take up
serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall
lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord
had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand
of God. Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord
working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
And when the Lord
God Jesus Christ told them that signs and special powers would follow their
preaching and he ascended into heaven as they looked upon him, so they went from
unbelief to preaching and believing and the Lord God sent proof with signs
following that he was working with them. You will have proof in your life if you
continue tarry calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will
confirm his word with you.
We
will continue with this message in part 2………
May the Lord
Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will.
May he open
your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins
and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of your sins.
Then you must
continue in prayer to God asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on the Name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit
gives you utterances. This experience with God will endow you with power.
Then you must
leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love
of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
Then you must
continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine, remembering always that he that
endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With perfect
love,
Apostle Dennis
G. Smith

ONGOING
GUIDANCE
• Vaccination
remains the most effective protection against COVID-19. Stay up to date with
COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
• Frequently
wash hands
• Frequent
cleaning of public and high touch areas
(1) Wear a well-fitting mask indoors in public, regardless of vaccination status
if you are high risk for severe disease.
(2) consider
avoiding non-essential indoor activities in public,
(3) talk to
your medical provider about other precautions to take,
(4) have a plan
for rapid testing
(5) talk to
your medical provider about treatments like oral antivirals, PrEP, and
monoclonal antibodies. If you have household or social contact with someone at
high risk for severe disease: consider selftesting to detect infection before
contact, and wearing a mask when indoors with them. Maintain improved
ventilation throughout indoor spaces when possible. Follow CDC recommendations
for isolation and quarantine, including testing guidance.
Because masks
protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is important
that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving their homes. This
helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only mildly symptomatic or not
symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in the community.
Everyone should
remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” By
increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs,
sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the
virus.
