To all the
Saints of God,
Grace
and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this
Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of
God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the
health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health
authorities and
governmental officials continue to strongly encourage people to wear face
coverings in public gatherings and use social distancing, wash your hands,
and get tested to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. In
some places wearing face mask is mandatory in indoor public spaces.
-
As of August
26, 2022,
community transmission of Covid-19 remains in the caution level yellow Zone.
-
Social distancing
and face mask are recommended for gatherings to control the spread of
Covid-19 or for individual safety.
-
Gatherings indoors
is allowed but face mask and social distancing is recommended for individual
safety.
-
Vaccinations and
boosters remains the recommended most effective way to control the spread of
Covid-19 by health authorities.
-
Covid-19
vaccinations and boosters are offered to everyone in the State of Georgia.
We are
continuing limited indoor, in-person services with face mask, social
distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing. We are also continuing
online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. In-person Baptism and
prayer service are available by attending our local service on site,
attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:
As
we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to
hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans
13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no
power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS
3:1-2 Put
them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey
magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be
no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This
week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:
“Some
people Hear the Word of God but do not understand” (Part 2)
By
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
We are working to spread the truth about the salvation of the human
family through the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole planet. And in doing
so we are often faced with people who do not seem to care about salvation,
whether or not they will burn in the lake of fire because of the sins they
commit in their life.
Some
do not seem to have any fear or respect for the Lord Jesus Christ the one
and only God who created all things. And so this may cause some of the
Saints of God to
have difficulty
in responding to people who do not want to hear the word of God and have no
intention of learning about the salvation of the human family. These
are the people
who engage in heresy and sacrilege, those
who have
no respect for God Almighty,
and they will
eventually reach a point where they
are not able to see the love of God.
Titus 3:8
- 11 TIT3:08
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm
constantly, that
they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These
things are good and profitable unto men. Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish
questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law;
for they are unprofitable and vain. Titus 3:10 A
man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Titus
3:11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned
of himself.
Apostle Paul teaches us to avoid foolish questions, arguments, and
contentions from those who may oppose the Gospel of Jesus Christ in
promoting the ceremonial law of sacrifices for sin. And
we must also avoid any foolish questions, arguments, and contentions from
those who are unbelievers. Since
heretics are those who are opposed to various actions or elements that bring
salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ the one and only God, the bible
tells us to reject them after we have warned them about the fact that their
choice to oppose the truth of the Apostle’s Doctrine will lead to eternal
damnation in the lake of fire.
2Thessolonians 1:6
- 10 Seeing
it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that
trouble you; 2Thessolonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us,
when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2Thessolonians 1:8 In flaming
fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 2Thessolonians 1:9 Who
shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the
Lord, and from the glory of his power2Thessolonians 1:10 When he shall come
to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe
(because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
Belief in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus
Christ for the forgiveness of sins and the justification of all believers is
the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the only way to be saved. Anyone who opposes
this truth of salvation must be rejected after they have been warned. This
does not mean that we need to be cruel to them, but we need to accept the
fact that they have chosen eternal damnation. Parents will
have to accept this fact about
their children, if
their children reject the
Lord Jesus
Christ and like wise children will have to accept this fact about
their parents, if
their parents reject the
Lord Jesus
Christ.
1Corinthians15:1 - 4 Moreover,
brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which
also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1Corinthians15:2 By which also
ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have
believed in vain. 1Corinthians15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all
that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to
the scriptures; 1Corinthians15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose
again the third day according to the scriptures:
Just as Abraham believed God and righteousness was imputed to him, it
is imputed to us when we believe and obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the
remission of our sins.
Romans 4:24 - 25 But
for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised
up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our
offences, and was raised again for our justification.
The
reason why a person
who is a heretic may not understand sometimes is because
of the
fact that they
do not accept the word of God as truth which is the simple definition of
unbelief. A person who is a heretic may also reject all religious beliefs
usually referred to as apostasy, which may lead them into disrespect for all
things concerning God Almighty in using his name in vain, as word slain in
casual conversations which is blasphemy concerning God and sacred things
that are precious to believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Promoting
blasphemy and teaching heretical ideas can cause some people in various
religious cultures to be removed from the Christian Church and in some
communities that are not Christian, in some cases it may even lead to a
person losing their life to the death penalty even in these modern times.
We
should also mention that teaching the truth to those who are opposed
to the
Apostle’s Doctrine can lead to a true believer who may be an Apostle,
Prophet, Bishop, Elder, Deacon or Lay member into being removed from false
Churches through excommunication when the gathering is controlled by false
teachers. But the true believer will receive eternal salvation regardless
of the actions of the false teachers.
The
way of holiness is available to all believers who set their hearts in
obedience to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ though they may be a part of
the common working-class people.
This establishes
the fact that no one should error from the truth about holiness unless they
are unclean in their mindset, unclean in their purpose and continue in
unclean sinful conduct.
Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called
The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for
those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
When
the mind is set first on the Kingdom of God in obedience to his word, then
all needful things will be provided it you are willing to work and not be
lazy in seeking the things that you need to live each day.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall
take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil
thereof.
But if you harden your heart and opposed the things of the Lord, then you
will receive the eternal damnation that you have chosen.
Hebrews 3:14
- 19 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence stedfast unto the end; Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, Today
if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Hebrews
3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came
out of Egypt by Moses. Hebrews 3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty
years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the
wilderness? Hebrews 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter
into his rest, but to them that believed not? Hebrews 3:19 So
we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
We
continue with the Message “In Hearing They Cannot Understand” from Apostle
S. McDowell Shelton:
“In
Hearing They Cannot Understand.” (part 2)
Original
text by Apostle Samuel McDowell Shelton
Edited by
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
Acts 9:7 says: "And the men
which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no
man." In
comparison,
Acts 22:9 states: And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and
were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me."
‘That seeing they may see and not perceive; hearing they
may hear, and not understand."
This is actually; what happened, in this instance. They heard a voice,
but they heard not a voice. They had no actual perception or
comprehension. This is clearly indicated and exemplified in the fact that
Paul heard the voice, was converted and afterwards, was baptized and saved,
while the men with him did not hear the voice, were not converted, and
therefore, were not baptized or saved. This is the reason the Bible states
they heard, but in another place claims they did not hear.
Those who are wise in their own conceit cannot perceive the things that
God has revealed to His Church. They cannot understand, for they have not
the revelation. The scripture says in Matthew
11:25: "At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord
of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and
prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes."
Even this scripture is hidden from them. Some false prophets would
probably emphasize the part where Jesus gives thanks to the Father, but we
can also read the scripture which informs, "When
you see me, you see the Father." (John 14:9)
We
understand this mystery perfectly because it is given unto us to understand. "Even
so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered
unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither
knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever he Son will
reveal him."(Matthew 25:26-27)
Although Jesus says, "All things are delivered unto me
of the Father", He also states, concerning His life, "l
have power to lay it down and I have' power to take it again."(John 1:18) So,
it is evident that He has power to lay down His life and power to take it up ("Destroy
this temple, and in three days I will raise it up"). (John 2:19) And
not this only, but "All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth." (Matthew 28 :18)
If we did not know of an assurety that Jesus Christ is God Almighty
(having read where Jesus said all power is given unto me), we could possibly
be deceived into believing there is some conflict or disagreement in the
holy scriptures. But we know there is no conflict, for our brother Paul
wrote Phillip, revealing that Jesus ... being
in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God."
(Philippians 2:6), and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11)
This clearly
establishes the fact to all believers that Jesus Christ is God Almighty!!
He is God Almighty which some will hear and read the Word of God and not
understand...
We will continue these messages in with part 3……
May the
Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his
will.
May he open
your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your
sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of your sins.
Then you
must continue in prayer to God asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on the
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues
as the spirit gives you utterances. This experience with God will endow you
with power.
Then you
must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming
the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the
pride of life.
Then you
must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine, remembering always that
he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With
perfect love,
Apostle
Dennis G. Smith

ONGOING
GUIDANCE
•
Vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19. Stay up
to date with COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
•
Frequently wash hands
• Frequent
cleaning of public and high touch areas
(1) Wear a well-fitting mask indoors in public, regardless of vaccination
status if you are high risk for severe disease.
(2)
consider avoiding non-essential indoor activities in public,
(3) talk to
your medical provider about other precautions to take,
(4) have a
plan for rapid testing
(5) talk to
your medical provider about treatments like oral antivirals, PrEP, and
monoclonal antibodies. If you have household or social contact with someone
at high risk for severe disease: consider selftesting to detect infection
before contact, and wearing a mask when indoors with them. Maintain improved
ventilation throughout indoor spaces when possible. Follow CDC
recommendations for isolation and quarantine, including testing guidance.
Because
masks protect everyone else from the droplets created by the wearer, it is
important that as many people as possible wear these masks when leaving
their homes. This helps prevent those who may be infectious but are only
mildly symptomatic or not symptomatic from spreading the virus to others in
the community.
Everyone should remember the phrase: “My mask protects you; your mask protects
me.” By increasing the overall number of people who are containing their coughs,
sneezes, and other droplets, it will help us control the overall spread of the
virus
