Ministers of Jesus Christ Assemblies of The Apostolic Faith Atlanta, Georgia - USA Apostle Dennis G. Smith, Pastor and Spiritual Overseer |
Date: January 8, 2023
To all the Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health authorities and governmental officials are now advising people to wear face mask in public gatherings, use social distancing, and get vaccinated for your own health and safety from the Covid-19 virus. In some places wearing face mask is no longer mandatory in indoor public spaces.
· Data on Atlanta has not been updated since December 9, 2022, but last reported Covid-19 data indicated that community transmission of Covid-19 is rising and is now in the yellow zone which indicates that community spread is increasing. You should now take extra precaution for your health. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has indicated that we are now dealing with a triple demic with the larges infection rate of flu in 10 years and the increasing infection rate of covid-19 along with RSV respiratory infection.
· Face masks are recommended in public gatherings for individual safety based on your individual health condition and risk.
· Gatherings indoors is allowed without face mask, but each individual should be aware of their health risk.
· Vaccinations and boosters remain the recommended most effective way to control the spread of Covid-19 by health authorities.
· Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters are offered to everyone in the State of Georgia.
We are open for indoor in-person services with face mask, social distancing, temperature checks and Covid-19 testing. We are also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local service on site, attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to: info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.
As we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans 13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS 3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:
Walking in the Newness of Life
by Apostle Dennis G. Smith
Romans 6:1 - 7 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
We have a new purpose when we begin again. We have a new outlook when we start over. We are a new person when we have a change of our attitude and mindset and have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost which gives us a new nature. We are then a new man living with the commitment to never commit sin again.
Go and sin no more!!!
John 8:3 - 11 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Notice that the Lord God Jesus Christ did not approve of the sin that she committed, neither was tolerant of her sin, but he showed her mercy by not condemning her to be stoned to death and He gave her justice in that the man that she had committed the sin with was not brought forth and condemned with her for his part in committing the sin by the men who were accusing her. But the Lord God commanded her to go and sin no more. This is the mindset that all people should live by if they want to overcome sin in their life. Go and sin no more!!! In other words, stop the practice of sin in your daily life. Happy New Year to all !!!
May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his will.
May he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins.
Then you must continue in prayer to the Lord God Jesus Christ asking him for the Holy Ghost, calling on His Name which is the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances. This experience with God will endow you with power.
Then you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
Then you must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine, remembering always that he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
