Ministers of Jesus Christ Assemblies of The Apostolic Faith Atlanta, Georgia - USA Apostle Dennis G. Smith, Pastor and Spiritual Overseer |
APOSTLE'S MESSAGE |
Date: March 5, 2023
To all the Saints of God,
Grace and peace be unto all the Saints of God around the World. As this
Coronavirus Pandemic continues, we are continually reminding the Saints of God
that we are obeying the magistrates and following the guideline of the health
and governmental authorities for the safety of all people.
Health authorities and
governmental officials are now advising people to wear face mask in public
gatherings, use social distancing, and get vaccinated for your own health and
safety from the Covid-19 virus. In
some places wearing face mask is no longer mandatory in indoor public spaces.
· March
1, 2023,
community transmission of Covid-19 remains in the green zone in Fulton County
and the city of Atlanta, Georgia. This means that the spread of the virus is at
a low level in Atlanta, and you should continue to take precautions based on for
your individual health condition. All must continue to be cautious because the
area where you live may have a high spread.
· Face
masks continue to be recommended in public gatherings for individual safety
based on your individual health condition and risk.
· Gatherings
indoors is allowed without face mask, but each individual should be aware of
their individual health risk.
· Vaccinations
and boosters remain the recommended most effective way for individual safety for
dealing with the spread of Covid-19 according to health authorities.
· Covid-19
vaccinations and boosters are offered to everyone in the State of Georgia.
We are open for indoor in-person services with face mask, social distancing,
temperature checks and Covid-19 testing when needed. Each person attending
in-person services should be fully aware of their own health risk as mask may be
removed during singing and speaking, and some may attend without mask. We are
also continuing online services through Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube.
In-person Baptism and prayer service are available by attending our local
service on site, attending our services on Zoom, or emailing your request to:
info@ministersofjesuschrist.com or prayerrequest@ministersofjesuschrist.com.
As
we obey the Magistrates, we have complete faith that God will continue to hear
our prayers and provide a way for us through these uncertain times.
Romans
13:2-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no
power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
TITUS
3:1-2 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey
magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no
brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
This week’s encouraging words of growth focuses on:
You cannot Hide from the Lord God Jesus Christ
by Apostle Dennis G. Smith
Pride is
mostly known as an elevated feeling that lifts a person up in their mind to feel
that they are above other people or in some cases makes them feel that they are
above other people because of their sense of high personal value, high personal
accomplishment, high obtainment of knowledge, high concentration on personal
beauty, High status reached on the job, high ownership of homes in what is
perceived to be wealthy neighborhoods, commonly called the high class or yuppy
lifestyle which can produce a hidden or open sin that may cause some people to
believe that they are above the law with the power of a false god. When people
look on the outward appearance of anyone, they may not see the hidden agenda.
But God can see through what may be hidden and not seen by the natural eye.
Regardless of where a person is in life, whether they are rich or poor, God
will look at the heart or mindset in which a person is responding to which will
be the same for every person in the world. In other words the true intensions
of a person is never hidden from the Lord God Jesus Christ.
Ezekiel 28:1 - 9 The
word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Ezekiel 28:2 Son of man, say
unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is
lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the
midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart
as the heart of God: Ezekiel 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel;
there is no secret that they can hide from thee: Ezekiel 28:4 With thy
wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast
gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: Ezekiel 28:5 By thy great
wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is
lifted up because of thy riches: Ezekiel 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord
GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; Ezekiel 28:7 Behold,
therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and
they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall
defile thy brightness. Ezekiel 28:8 They shall bring thee down to the pit,
and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
Ezekiel 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but
thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee. Ezekiel
28:10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers:
for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
When there is a plan from evil people to elevate themselves by holding back
others, by stirring up strife, by setting up other people to fail, or when there
is a hidden agenda for selfish purposes to cause harm to others, the plan is
known by the Lord God Jesus Christ. There is no dark place where those who plot
evil may hide themselves. There is no dark place where hypocrites, those who
pretend to be Apostolic Christians may hide their real purpose from God
Almighty.
Job 34:22 There
is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide
themselves.
When people donot obey the one and only plan of salvation they are playing
Church which is a false form of godliness and false Christian behavior. They
may assume that somehow God does not see them, or God does not understand their
false motivation. But the Lord God Jesus Christ fully understands their false
motives. They are tricking themselves and those that follow their wicked
devices because the commandments of the Lord God will not past away until all be
fulfilled. All that seek to hide their false counsel by claiming that know one
can see them is completely deceived.
Isaiah 29:15 - 16 Woe
unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works
are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? Isaiah
29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the
potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or
shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
The Lord God Jesus Christ fills Heaven and Earth and is present everywhere so
there is no place hidden from his view. He can see the coming and going of
all people. He can see and hear the things that they say and do.
Jeremiah 23:23 Am
I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Jeremiah 23:24 Can
any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do
not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
When the Lord has a purpose to punish and destroy disobedient sinful people,
there will be no place that is hidden from Him that will prevent him from
carrying out his judgement. The Prophet Amos was sent by God to denounce the
social and religious corruption and to warn that the people would not be able to
hide from the judgement of God.
Amos 9:3
- 4 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and
take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the
sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: Amos 9:4
And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command
the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil,
and not for good.
When we realize that God can see our every move, we must all come to a place in
our mind where we can say to the Lord God Jesus Christ, “Search me Lord, because
you know my thoughts and is acquainted with all my ways.” This is a place where
the Holy Ghost can keep us in being truthful about our own self and teach us to
confess, acknowledge and overcome our shortcomings.
Psalms 139:1 - 4 O
LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Psalms 139:2 Thou knowest my
downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
PSA139:03 Thou compassest my path and my
lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. Psalms139:4 For
there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, so he sees the evil and the good. And
you may wonder why he does not destroy evil people at the moment they commit
their sin? Take a look at yourself for a moment, then examine yourself and you
will be thankful for his longsuffering and mercy for all mankind.
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and
the good.
God knows ways of man and he knows that when people choose to follow the path of
evil, their own choices will bring about eternal damnation if they do not change
their path in life, repent and turn away from their sinful behavior.
Proverbs 5:21
- 23 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all
his goings. Proverbs 5:22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and
he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. Proverbs 5:23 He shall die
without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
God knows that many people are seeking to please men for monetary gain. False
preachers will deliver a sermon that is pleasing to the crowd of men for
financial gain by telling the people what they want to hear. But all of the
eloquent preaching and teaching that is not according to the one and only plan
of salvation that may be pleasing, acceptable and highly esteemed among men, but
is an abomination in the sight of God. No one can serve two masters.
LUK16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men;
but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is
abomination in the sight of God.
Though men may persecute the Saints of God who strive to have a perfect
heart in obedience to the commandments of God, but the eyes of the Lord God
Jesus Christ is looking throughout the whole earth, and showing Himself strong
on behalf of those whose heart is perfect towards Him. Those who rely on Him
will never move from his word and will not be deceived into relying on the helps
received from unbelieving men, or the praises and recognition of unbelieving men
who do not obey the commandments of the Lord God Jesus Christ. We learn in
reading the Old Testament that because King Asa did not rely on the Lord God but
relied on the King on Syria, he would have a continuation of wars.
2Chronicles 16:7 - 10 And
at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because
thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God,
therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. 2CH16:08
Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and
horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine
hand. 2CH16:09 For the eyes of the LORD
run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf
of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done
foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 2CH16:10 Then Asa was
wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with
him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
No one had to inform the Lord Jesus Christ about the ways of man. No one
has to prepare God for the fickleness of man, how they are constantly changing
and will switch from like to dislike of their fellow man. No one had of tell
the Lord Jesus Christ about man, because He knew what was in man.
John 2:24 - 25 But
Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not
that any should testify of man: for he
knew what was in man.
Apostle Peter said to the Lord Jesus Christ, “ Lord, You know all things and you
know that I love You. This establishes that Apostle Peter knew that he was God
Almighty manifested in the flesh body.
JOH21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?
Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And
he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus
saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
When we all have a complete understanding that God is present everywhere,
commonly called omnipresent and God knows all things commonly called omniscient, then
we also know to live a honest, truthful, and holy lifestyle because we cannot
hide anything from God!!
May the Lord Bless you and Keep you and eternally hold you in the center of his
will.
May he open your understanding that you will come to know that you must repent
of your sins and be baptized by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of your sins.
Then
you must continue in prayer to the Lord God Jesus Christ asking him for the Holy
Ghost, calling on His Name which is the Lord Jesus Christ and waiting or
tarrying until you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the sign following
speaking with other tongues as the spirit gives you utterances. This experience
with God will endow you with power.
Then
you must leave the principles of the doctrine and go on to perfection overcoming
the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride
of life.
Then
you must continue steadfastly in the Apostle’s Doctrine, remembering always that
he that endures until the End, the same shall be saved. In the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty. Amen
With perfect love,
Apostle Dennis G. Smith
